What I Left With From the 60th Venice Biennale Arte
A group of art school friends and I have been visiting the Biennale Arte in Venice since 2009, which showcases international art exhibitions. The 60th Biennale presented a thought-provoking collection curated by Adriano Pedrosa with the theme "Foreigners Everywhere," featuring artists from countries not widely represented in high-brow settings. This collection led me to reflect on the concept of belonging and the feeling of being a foreigner, ultimately recognizing the shared and diverse experiences of people around the world.
Eclipse: What is a Portrait?
On April 8th, I had the pleasure of seeing a total solar eclipse. Despite usually preferring to be fully present in the moment rather than capturing events with a camera, the significant anticipation and hype surrounding the eclipse compelled me to photograph it. As a photographer specializing in portraiture, this experience sparked a deeper exploration of the concept of a portrait and its significance.
